Summary: | China has become a high energy consumption country and the economic development is constrained to the tight energy resources. Ten key energy‐saving projects were started in 2006 by the National Development and Reform Commission of China. This chapter lists the various aspects regarding energy saving for the electric motor system. The new energy‐saving law placed energy saving as the basic national policy of China. It clearly points out: the nation performs the basic national policy of energy saving, and performs the energy development strategy of the implementation of conservation and development simultaneously, giving priority to conservation, and puts energy conservation as a long‐term strategic approach to national economic development. The new energy‐saving law adds legal weapon for the scientific development of China; it would help solve the increasingly acute conflict among Chinese economic development, energy resources, and the environment. The chapter presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in this book. |
