Acid stability of 4-(4-thiazolyl)sydnones has been exploited in the synthesis of the title compounds (2a-h) from 3-aryl-4-(2-hydrazino-4-thiazolyl)sydnones (1a-b) and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds.
