Thiophosphorylation of calix[4]resorcinarenes with 2,4-diaryl-1,3-dithia-2 lambda(5),4 lambda(5)-diphosphetane 2,4-disulfides

Reactions of 2,4-diaryl-1,3-dithia-2 lambda(5),4 lambda(5)-diphosphetane 2,4-disulfides with tetraheptylcalix[4]-resorcinarene and octa-O-(2-hydroxyethyl)tetraoctylcalix[4]resorcinarene gave the corresponding octakis(aryldithiophosphonic acids).
