Summary:Provided is a cyclometalated transition metal complex represented by Formula 1: The cyclometalated transition metal complex contains a new ancillary ligand having a carboxylate acid or the like connected to a hetero ring, so that it can efficiently emit red light from a phosphorous material through intersystem crossing (ISC) to form triplet excitons and then metal to ligand charge transfer (MLCT). An organic light emitting device manufactured using the transition metal complex shows excellent luminous efficiency and external quantum efficiency.
