| Summary: | The image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming unit which forms an image by discharging droplets from a recording head onto a recording medium; a conveyance belt which conveys the recording medium, a surface of the conveyance belt facing the recording head being treated with a liquid repelling treatment in order to repel the droplets adhering to the surface of the conveyance belt; and a droplet discharge control device which causes the droplets to be deposited in substantially same droplet deposition positions on the surface of the conveyance belt from the recording head when performing a recovery operation for the recording head. |
