Summary:An apparatus and a processor-implemented method are provided for determining a cusp within a stroke of electronic ink. Curvature at each of a plurality of points on the stroke is estimated. Based on the estimated curvature at each of the plurality of points, a neighborhood of the points where the cusp resides is identified. One of the points in the neighborhood of the points is determined to correspond to the cusp.
