Summary: | A liner for a stator of an electric machine is provided. The liner includes an insulating layer and a magnetically conducting layer. The insulating layer comprises a plurality of insulating strips, while the conducting layer comprises a plurality of conducting strips. The insulating and conducting layers are connected to each other in an alternating overlapping fashion to form a ribbon-like element. The ribbon-like element is connectable to the stator such that the insulating strips are positionable in winding slots of the stator and such that the conducting strips are mateable with the stator to cause a portion of the conducting strips to be across the openings in the stator. |
