Summary:A content editing system allows developers of instructional materials to edit and design the instructional materials from a database of content. The instructional material can be displayed in a first format if the viewer of the instructional material is of a first type and displayed in a second format different from the first format if the viewer is of a second type different from the first type. The content in the instructional material may be associated with a viewer type attribute such that the content is displayed only if the viewer is of a type corresponding to the viewer type attribute. The content in the instructional material may also conform to a standard, such as a national standard set for an educational curriculum.
