Summary: | Background:
Hepatic tumors affections have most often an atypical debut, and the minimal biological modifications are shown only by imagistic exam: abdominal echography completed by TC, MRI simple or by MRI contrast.
Objective:
In the present paper, our purpose was to make a clinically, paraclinically correlation of the spaces substitutive tumors, at the hospitalized patients in the last 12 months in Clinical Medical CF Timişoara.
Material and method:
All the patients were clinically and paraclinically examined. It was determined tumoral markers (α-fetoprotein, CEA) and it was made imagistically exams (abdominal echography exam, TC, MRI). The patients were aged between 18–84 years (the mean age was 51 years) and the sex repartition was 47% women and 53% men.
Results:
Of all 3952 echography, we selected the substitutive spaces tumors: 401 benign tumors (10%) and 551 malignant tumors (14%). The benign tumors were: 253 hydatid cyst (63%) and 148 hepatoangioma (37%). The malignant tumors were: 105 primary tumors (hepatocarcinoma) (19%), 149 secondary tumors (metastasis) (27%) and 50 adenocirrhosis (9%).
Conclusions:
In conclusion, we can say that abdominal echography examination, completed by CT, MRI can be used as a diagnosis method for the patients with hepatitis B or C and other hepatic affections.
