Summary:A moisture-tolerant cyclopentadienyl-silsesquioxane titanium complex efficiently catalyses the selective oxidation of various types of sulfides to either sulfoxides (TOFs up to 32 530 h −1 ) or sulfones with H 2 O 2 (30% in water) under mild conditions. A cyclopentadienyl-silsesquioxane titanium complex efficiently catalyses the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides (85-98% yield in 5 min at ambient temperature) and sulfones with near-stochiometric amount of aqueous H 2 O 2 in methanol.
