Summary:The reactivity of a rhenium complex containing an NAD + model ligand was examined toward photochemical formation of the corresponding NADH-like dihydro form of the complex and electrochemical CO 2 reduction. The hydricity of the NADH-like complex was estimated by a thermodynamic cycle and reaction with Ph 3 C + . A rhenium complex containing an NADH-like model ligand has been prepared and used for electrochemical CO 2 reduction.
