Summary:A chiral organic conductor with metallic conductivity has been obtained by electrocrystallisation of a diiodotetrathiafulvalene derivative and enantiopure D -camphorsulfonate anion, associated in the solid state by halogen bonding interactions. A chiral, 2D organic metal is described, associating through halogen bonding interactions, the enantiopure D -camphorsulfonate anion and a diiodotetrathiafulvalene.
