Summary:A case of delayed rupture of the thoracic aorta into the esophagus after blunt thoracic injury is reported. Aortoesophageal fistula presented in the fifth post traumatic day, with a sudden dyspnea episode, intraperitoneal hemorrhage and lower gastrointestinal bleeding, due to intraperitoneal and intragastric rupture of intramural esophageal hematoma.
