Summary:Requirements admit a possibility of protection of a vaccine-serum preparation by the author's certificate only in case of approbation of the preparation. The formula of invention should describe the preparation in such a way that it could be differentiated from similar preparations. In accordance with these requirements the preparation can be described only with reference to the method of obtaining it, since this method determines its quality. The most rational form of protection of suggestions in the field of vaccines and sera is a complex protection of the preparation and of the method of obtaining it. Protection of the method of obtaining the preparation alone limits the authors' rights.
