Summary:We present the course of the insulin therapy during total parenteral nutrition (TPN) after gastroscopy complicated by duodenal intramural haematoma, in a boy with type 1 diabetes treated with the insulin pump. There is a lack of guidelines regarding the insulin therapy during TPN in children. Additionally, duodenal intramural haematoma is a very rare complication of diagnostic gastroscopy. There are only few cases reported so far.
