Summary:Also named as a defendant is Joseph V. Carracciolo, who co-owns Jose Murphy's, the bar at the Las Cruces bowling alley where [Xavier A. Contreras] was drinking before the fatal crash. According to the civil complaint, Contreras and a friend consumed two pitchers of beer and several rounds of bottled beer. Contreras allegedly continued drinking alcohol at Jose Murphy's until it closed shortly before 2 a.m. The suit also alleges the bartender knew Contreras consumed an excessive amount of alcohol and allowed him to order an additional round of beer, making Carracciolo liable for [Merritt Pratt]'s death and for damages to her vehicle.
