Summary: | Angelo Esposito is a 16-year-old rookie to watch with the Remparts. Esposito, who last year attended Shattuck-St. Mary's prep school in Minnesota the same team [Crosby] played for three years ago had a six-point performance (two goals, four assists) in his final pre-season game, a 10-0 romp over the defending-champion Oceanic. Esposito finished tied for second overall among pre-season scorers, tallying 13 points, including six goals, in five games. Only Thomas Beauregard of Acadie-Bathurst had more points than the Remparts' highly-touted rookie. Beauregard tallied six goals and 10 assists, but he also played three more games than Espo. The Remparts have Esposito centering a line with two 19-year-old wingers: Russian Alexander Radulov and American Jordan LaVallee. Radulov was a first-round pick (15th overall) of the Nashville Predators at the 2004 NHL entry draft, while LaVallee, a left-winger, was a fourth-round selection (116th overall) of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2005. |
