(NYSE: R), today announced a strategic relationship with i2 Technologies (Nasdaq: iTWO) that will bring together the leading provider of third-party logistics services with the leading provider of supply chain planning and optimization software. Concurrently, Ryder announced RyderLink(SM), an upgraded logistics integration and communication system. RyderLink(SM) works in concert with i2 Technologies' "RhythmLink(TM)", a component of i2's RHYTHM Global Decision Support Architecture(TM), offering complete integration of supply chain planning and operations. This supply chain integration capability and related software are available for demonstration at Ryder's new Client Solutions Center in Irving, Texas. The announcement was made by Ed Straw, president, Ryder Integrated Logistics. The Ryder/i2 relationship offers the market a single-source solution to supply chain redesign and execution challenges.
