Summary:[PdL floor leader in the Chamber of Deputies] Fabrizio Cicchitto is on the same wavelength: "If there has been no agreement to date, it has not been due to a caprice on the political forces' part but because there are different approaches. In any event, the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate are not playing a game of snap." A different response came from [PdL floor leader in the Senate] Maurizio Gasparri: "We must take up [Giorgio Napolitano]'s appeal, but first we have to take a vote on the last constitutional reform articles on the grassroots election of the president of the Republic." "That is the priority," the party's floor leader in the Senate said. [Northern League Secretary Roberto] Maroni, for his part, applauded the president: "Well done, Napolitano, we do not want any under-the-counter agreements." But [Northern League floor leader in the Chamber of Deputies] Gianpaolo Dozzo warned: "I would not like to see this hybrid governing majority now having an excuse to go ahead with a tailor-made reform designed for its own benefit."
