Summary:Joint ACI-ASCC Committee 117, Tolerances, is preparing a new document, "Guide to the Use of 3-D Laser Scanning for Concrete Tolerances." In anticipation of that document, the American Society of Concrete Contractors organized a study to evaluate laser scanning for concrete quality assurance applications. The study was conducted on a construction site in Walnut Creek CA on Oct 6-7, 2018. Eight participants scanned portions of the project to compare against independently obtained reference data. Here, Paul et al detail the concrete structure at the podium and ground levels used in this study.
