Michigan moves toward revamping personal property tax rules
The Michigan Department of Treasury, in the face of intense criticism of the outdated personal property multipliers used by most assessors, commissioned a study of multipliers and has just released a draft recommendation to revise and modernize the state's personal property tax tables.
