Summary:IMC and AIIM have played a leadership role in the document management industry's growth and change over many decades. These associations have historically fostered an environment of mutual cooperation for the benefit of all parties involved. AIIM is the largest association representing the industry. With over 8,000 members, it is both a user and trade association. IMC operates primarily outside the US. In 1992, IMC began to focus its annual event in Europe only. It selected a limited number of major cities in which to rotate the show. The exhibition has grown significantly in size every year.
