Summary:Workers struggling to keep pace with the rapidly changing technology of today might now want to think about what their jobs and offices might be like in the future. They can relax, however. According to industry experts, tomorrow's technology will feature easier-to-use universal interfaces and faster transmission capabilities. Increased opportunities to plug into a network from anywhere at anytime in any number of ways will further free up workers from the constraints of an actual physical office in its traditional sense, allowing workers more mobility than ever before. The idea of an alternative office, or hoteling, is a current concept that will be refined and become standard in tomorrow's office. As in the past, workers will be able to reserve a work area on an as-needed basis, but the nature of that space will be more flexible and mobile.
