Summary:Too often it is the nature of technology to be disorienting to the casual user. As it changes at an exponential rate, technology often leaves many behind in a wake of confusion and uncertainty. Complex new operating systems, software programs, and hardware configurations are complicated by the evolving language of techno-speak, in which only a choice few are fluent. Legal issues surrounding new technologies are often equally confusing. The changing landscape of computer use, fostered by the dramatic growth of the Internet, makes computers a necessity for many. New users, no matter how casual, are still subject to the myriad of licensing agreements and restrictions regulating software. It is, therefore, important for all users to be aware of the terms and conditions associated with software use.
