Summary:If the UNOP is able to accomplish its main objective - maximizing the funding available to New Orleans post-[Katrina] through savvy investment decisions - we will be better equipped to pay down the massive expenses of rebuilding our roads, transit and utilities, neighborhoods, rental and affordable housing, education and health services and vital public services. The UNOP will be presented to the New Orleans City Planning Commission, City Council and [C. Ray Nagin] for final approval in January and then sent to the Louisiana Recovery Authority to be funded.
