Summary: | There was a bit of drama leading up to the Stock/Super Stock Combo final as eventual runner-up Scott Wells broke the rear end of his '74 Camaro in his quarterfinal match against David Picht. Because he was slated for a bye in the semi's, he was able to advance to the trophy dash by getting his Camaro to stage, but with Wells unable to race in the final, Scheitlin was required to just break the starting-line beam to get credit for the win. |
