Summary: | Heather Graham was calling on her cell phone from New York, where she was taking in the fall leaves from a golf cart. It's not quite as exotic as skydiving or running the bulls in Pamplona, which her freelance travel-writing character Pippa McGee does in the film Cake, but it's not exactly namby-pamby. "I can relate to Pippa's fear of vulnerability and of getting her heart broken," Graham allowed. "And I understand the issues with trying to impress your parents." Pippa can't please her father and there was friction with Graham's strict father about her career choice. "I don't fit the conventional mould. I'm not the traditional woman. I love travelling but I want to fall in love. Graham has never married and is presently unattached, though she has had relationships with Heath Ledger, Ed Burns, Josh Lucas and director Chris Weitz, but not Drake Hotel owner Jeff Stober, despite what the gossip columns reported. "That was hilarious," she said. "I went to a party with [Miranda] and Jeff was there with his girlfriend and they gave me a lift. Jeff is a sweet guy and I love the Drake." |
