Summary:"I'm a bit surprised to win and surprised to post such a high score," said the soft-spoken Heymans, a silver medallist in the synchronized 10-metre event with Pointe Claire's Anne Montminy in Sydney and the world junior tower champion in 1997. "But I had a lot of confidence in my abilities - I wasn't worried." Heymans has enjoyed a solid 2003 season and has now won tower in three straight competitions. She took the Grand Prix title with a victory at the Super Final last month in Mexico and also earned her 11th Canadian crown overall at the summer Nationals in Winnipeg. She holds the national points records on both the 3-metre springboard and the tower.
