Mirza Husayn-Ali, later known as Baha'u'llah (Glory to God), was born in Tehran. He was an adherent of Islam and later a follower of the Bab, who founded the Babi faith, an independent messianic religion. - Nov. 14 is Kathina. As part of the festival of the coming of lights in Myanmar (formerly called Burma), Buddhists there offer new robes, called Kathin, to Buddhist monks to replace the soiled robes they have worn through the rainy season. |
