Summary:Mongelli, who resigned his posts as a prosecutor in the Central Bergen and Paramus municipal courts in the wake of the charges, said he had been charged along with two co-defendants, Joseph Greenblatt and Mongelli's former law partner, Peter Vogel. A spokeswoman for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office was not able to comment on the charges Wednesday night. "I'm a licensed attorney, licensed prosecutor and dedicated community servant," Mongelli said. "I'm looking forward to clearing my name of any charges." "That's not the same Joe Mongelli I know," [Frank Fasolo] said. "The Joe I know all these years, he's got four kids, he's always been for the family, he'd always go the extra mile for his friends. We've been running mates for six years. [For him] to be accused of this ... I'm completely in denial."
