Summary:Then there is the worry. Will all the drivers in the family make it home safe and sound? Will our flat roof collapse under the weight of all the snow? What crafty animal has outwitted all our efforts and taken up residence in the garage? A mouse? A squirrel? A rat? As a student and teacher I used to love the words ''all public and private schools will be closed today,'' but not any more. An occasional day of togetherness is lovely; being snowbound is a rare treat when all the family is gathered before a roaring fire and can enjoy good company, popcorn, a game of Scrabble, or the simple pleasure of a day off. Unfortunately, winter doesn't know when enough is enough. Cabin fever has a very short incubation period and strikes with devastating speed.
