Summary:Anita, their child, showed vocal ability when she was 3 years old and imitated her father's ''Vesti la giubba'' from ''Pagliacci.'' She studied piano for 10 years, attended the New York High School of Music and Art as a voice major and had her own radio program, ''Let's All Sing Together,'' on WNYC. ''It was just what I needed,'' Mrs. [Stephen Aronoff] said; ''those few shows and the confidence I had regained by teaching an art course at N.Y.U.'' The course, called ''Meet the Artist,'' consisted of weekly visits to artists' studios and interviews with artists conducted by Mrs. Aronoff and another teacher. What Mrs. Aronoff calls her ''big step'' was the beginning of her association with Vincent LaSelva of the New York Grand Opera, who will direct and conduct ''La Traviata.'' ''He cast me as Gilda in a workshop production of 'Rigoletto,' '' she said. ''I asked him later if I could sing in one of his professional productions. His advice and guidance have been sensational and the following year he asked me to sing Mimi in 'La Boheme' both in Central Park and with the Opera Company of Nassau. Then he asked me to sing Liu in 'Turandot' at the Beacon Theatre.''
