Summary:Ceasar Shelton Dawkins, 41, of Birmingham, was driving to Montgomery after visiting Atlanta when his car broke down on I-85 outside Newnan during the early morning hours of Dec. 20. He apparently walked down the side of the road for a few miles and then tried to run across the highway to get help, the Georgia State Patrol said. He was knocked into a ditch by a vehicle that didn't stop. Jason Lewis was speeding south on Hambrick Road in DeKalb County at 1:30 a.m. with his twin brother, Stephen, and Hashim Salih Lancaster when Lewis lost control of his rented 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, sideswiped a utility pole and spun over an embankment. Lancaster, 21, of Stone Mountain, was sitting in the front passenger seat and was trapped in the car. Authorities did not know whether he was wearing a seat belt. Aisha Sewell, 19, had just had a quarrel with her boyfriend at the Clark Atlanta University library, police said. She was driving her 1993 Geo Storm west on rain-slick Cascade Road when she lost control of her car and veered into oncoming traffic. Authorities did not know whether she was wearing a seat belt.
