Summary:Leading Lap 76, [Kevin Harvick] entered Turn 3, only to see [Jimmie Johnson] cut inside as they pulled onto the stretch. The drivers held their side- by-side run for four laps, but after Lap 79, Johnson broke through, only to see No. 24 Jeff Gordon pass them both. "At that point, I was a little curious as to why we were racing so hard," Johnson said, alluding to their showdown in the final laps. In those contests, side-by-side racing would not have been possible - or safe - at the flat-track NHIS due to the fragile pavement on the outside of Turns 3 and 4. But the newly paved turns allowed Harvick to test his mettle against Johnson.
