Summary:Selectmen face a full agenda on Tuesday night, starting with a public hearing at 6:45 on the liquor license for Our Place Saloon. The bar was the scene of a brawl that later ended in the stabbing death of a Raynham man in Bridgewater's downtown in January. Selectmen are considering a license revocation. At 7 p.m. the selectmen have scheduled a hearing on an application from Joseph Palmieri to increase above-ground gasoline storage at Joe's Service Station on Main Street. And at 7:15 p.m., the board will hold the required public hearing on three road acceptances being proposed for the May 1 annual Town Meeting: for Old Willis Farm Road, Grange Court and Little Pond Circle. Selectmen will meet in the Memorial Building on South Street. - Christine Wallgren ALS SYMPOSIUM The Massachusetts chapter of the ALS Association is holding its annual "Living with ALS" symposium April 29 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Dedham, where the chapter is based. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive degenerative disease that attacks the brain and spinal cord. ALS patients, their families, caregivers, and professionals are invited to attend the free conference, which will feature presentations on research, adaptive computer use, legal issues, managing the disease, and the impact of ALS on family relationships. For more information, visit www.als-ma.org. - Peter Schworm HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION Residents will be allowed to drop off hazardous waste at the Thatcher Street Browning-Ferris Industries landfill site from 8 a.m. to noon May 6. The list of acceptable items includes, but is not limited to, oil-based paint and stain products and solvents; fiberglass resins; photo chemicals and chemistry sets; various cleaning fluids; household batteries and fluorescent bulbs. The list of acceptable automotive items includes fuels, batteries, antifreeze, motor oil, and brake and transmission fluids. Propane tanks no larger than gas grill size will be accepted, as will swimming pool chemicals, insecticides and fungicides. Materials that will not be accepted include ammunition, fireworks, explosives, fire extinguishers, radioactive waste, smoke detectors, syringes, and infectious or biological wastes. - Christine Wallgren
