Summary:In Belleville, about 3,000 people attended an evening prayer service and rally at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Catholic and Protestant clergymen read Psalms and led prayers. Choir members from St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Belleville sang patriotic songs, backed up by the Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra. Among those sitting in the front row of the amphitheater were Mitzi Mitchler, Carolyn Trice and Trice's mother, Mary. The three women, who live in the same neighborhood of Chesterfield, already had been to weekend services at the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica and in Forest Park.
