Summary: | The PLAY:stl Music Festival & Conference is preparing for its Sept. 21-23 launch, taking place at Blueberry Hill, Cicero's, Vintage Vinyl and on acoustic and outdoor stages. The goal is to present a "real, honest-to-goodness music festival and conference showcasing the best of our city's talent and bringing in regional, national, even international acts." St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and City Hall workers will get a "sneak preview" of "Katrina: The Winds of Change," an original performance piece. It was created by students in the St. Louis Black Repertory Company's summer performing arts program.
