Summary:Correction published 10/8/2005 - Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig's statements about 10 p.m. game starts in the postseason were made in October 2002 when the Cardinals were scheduled to play a late playoff game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. A story in Friday's Sports section incorrectly indicated that the statements pertained to tonight's 10:09 game time. The story also incorrectly stated that the information came from the Cardinals public relations office. Game 1 Tuesday was the 49th postseason game held at Busch Stadium, breaking a tie for the third most in baseball history. The Cardinals' home for the past 40 seasons -- slated for demolition at the end of this month -- has hosted 50 postseason games, behind only Yankee Stadium (154) and Fenway Park (53). Busch entered the postseason tied with Oakland's home, now called McAfee Coliseum, at 48 playoff games. The Red Sox will host the 54th playoff game at baseball's oldest ballpark today, and they face elimination against the Chicago White Sox. The Cardinals, if swept in San Diego, would return to Busch for the 51st postseason game, and they would guarantee at least 52 games at Busch by qualifying for the National League Championship Series.
