Summary: | Chaminade's loss to Collinsville last week was the Red Devils' first loss to a St. Louis area squad since Nov. 4, 2000. On Tuesday, Chaminade rallied for a 2-1 win over Collinsville. Chaminade controlled the action throughout the first half. But the Kahoks struck first, scoring with just under 2 minutes to play. After receiving a pass from Jimmy Stranz, the Kahoks' Chris Sierra made a strong run down the right flank before serving the ball into the box for Travis Aldridge, who one-timed it into the net. In the second half, just as it appeared Collinsville was beginning to take a measure of control, the Red Devils pulled even when T.J. Olwig headed in a free kick from David Roth. Then, with about 10 minutes to play, Olwig got a step on a defender and unleashed a low shot. Kahoks keeper Ryan Jerome came up with the diving stop but Chaminade's Colin Fahrenkamp was right there to pop in the rebound. |
