Summary: | Holidays With Heart Our readers proved it again: Nobody can tell your stories better than you. Nearly 100 of you submitted stories about your most memorable Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year's. Many were wonderful, and we think we chose the best. Happy holidays! - Peggy McKenzie and Deborah White Our child, Hallie, was about 4 1/2 years old. It was going to be an exciting Christmas. So on that chilly Sunday morning, we dressed in our best finery and attended church as we regularly did at Second Presbyterian Church on Poplar Avenue. After Sunday school and church, my husband, Curtis, decided to take us to The Peabody for lunch. Later, we were taking Hallie to see The Nutcracker at the Orpheum. We could enjoy a nice meal and hear the beautiful Christmas music. |
