Summary: | At the Nov. 7 gathering, the Rev. William Matz, chairman of the center's management board, gave his interpretation of the purpose of the project. He then asked the 21 representatives of Moravian Churches of the Eastern District at the gathering to consider "joining a Committee of 100" and sharing the vision with their local congregations. Participants were introduced to plans for the conference center through a slide presentation by board Vice President Jane Burcaw. Todd Schmidt of the architectural firm Schmidt, Copeland, Parker, Stevens Inc. provided a model and overview of the center. Other board members are Gloria Conrad, secretary; the Rev. Jeffrey Gehris, treasurer; Terri D. Michaels, center director; the Rev. William Andrews; Norman Butzow; James Keim; George Krail, Dale Lucas, Lynette McRae, Jake Regennasand Frank Taverna. |
