Summary:[Jonny E. Gammage]'s family, including his cousin and business partner, Steelers defensive lineman Ray Seals, did not ask for the FBI probe but they had raised questions about Gammage's treatment in police custody after viewing coroner's photographs of his body that they said indicated he had been beaten and choked. Brentwood Police Chief Wayne Babish has said that an officer from his department ordered Gammage to pull over after seeing Gammage driving erratically. Gammage did not immediately stop and the officer followed him for more than a mile, being joined by officers from Baldwin Borough and Whitehall before Gammage pulled over, Babish said. Seals also said that, three days before Gammage's death, a friend who drove Seals home after the Steelers' upset loss in Jacksonville on Oct. 8 also was stopped by Brentwood police and taken into custody, only to be released the next day.
