Summary:"When you think of a doctor, you think of Dr. Worley," said Dr. Leo McCafferty, a Shadyside plastic surgeon who practiced with him in the early 1990s before Dr. Worley retired. In 1953, Dr. Worley was appointed medical director of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md. Two years later he joined a residency program at the Pittsburgh veterans hospital in general surgery, then attended State University of New York's Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for his residency in plastic surgery. Returning to the Pittsburgh area in 1960, Dr. Worley began a practice in plastic and reconstructive surgery and became a member of the staff of St. Clair Memorial Hospital in Mt. Lebanon and Jefferson Regional Medical Center where, in 2001, he was awarded emeritus status.
