Alton Maddox mobilizes N.C. residents to demand help for flood-ravaged historic Black town
In an Oct 27, 1999 hearing before the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington DC, Alton H. Maddox Jr said it was urgent that the residents of Princeville NC, an all-black township ravaged by floods, receive help. The floods left scores homeless and nearly 300 residents are feared dead.
