Summary: | PHOENIX - Federal prosecutors have granted immunity to a Coopers & Lybrand official in their effort to convict George Leckie, former deputy chief of staff for Gov. Fife Symington, of bid rigging. Documents filed in U.S. District Court last week show that Benjamin Kimbrough is expected to be one of the witnesses against Leckie. Kimbrough is director of marketing for the accounting firm out of its Los Angeles office. Thomas Marlowe, one of Leckie's attorneys, wants U.S. District Judge Earl Carroll to rule that Kimbrough cannot testify at the trial, now set for Oct. 29. |
