Summary:Police say [Michael Bernard], whose disabilities made him completely dependent for food, medicine and hygiene, was left in his bed from 11 p.m. July 13 to 4:30 p.m. the next day. No one knew he was dead until his 11-year-old brother came home from a friend's house and asked about him. Police have charged Michael's mother, Donna Annette Deeson, 34, with aggravated manslaughter and his father, David Kelly Bernard, 47, with child neglect. Both remain in Palm Beach County Jail. Michael's two brothers, the youngest of whom is 2, are in state custody.
