Summary: | Both products run on the Information Commons data-sharing platform that Maya and the local organization 3 Rivers Connect developed. Visitors to the United Way of Allegheny County Web site can get information at the HelpConnections link. Information also is available at HumanServices.net. Venture Outdoors has its Great Outdoors, or GO Guide, at ventureoutdoors.org. Rhiza has six employees and operates out of Maya's offices. It's Maya's second launch -- the first, Maya Viz, which develops military software, was sold to General Dynamics C4Systems and now has more than 100 local employees. "It's a great symbol for what the Information Commons does -- spread information through a community from many sources," [Josh Knauer] said. |
