Summary:  Since its release in January, "Already Free" has been found in the Top 10 of Billboard magazine's Blues Music Chart, peaking at No. 1. Rolling Stone magazine called it the band's "most accessible blues-rock set to date," and the Boston Globe said "You probably won't hear a better rock/R&B record this year." Q: [Derek]'s a pretty busy guy in terms of his musical commitments. What do you and the rest of the band do when he's touring with other acts? A: "We're all involved with other projects. I have a band called Scrapomatic that I do things with on the side when I'm not working with Derek. I'd always dreamed of being a professional musician, so I'm going to keep doing this as long as it allows me to." Q: What's next for you and the band? A: "We'll tour through mid-December and take the first part of the year off for some family time. But then we'll reconvene back at Derek's place in early 2010, which will be good. It's nice to write and work on new material and just keep everything fresh."
