Summary: | "We can't worry about what's going to happen down the road or relive what's happened in the past," [Steven Curtis Chapman] said. "The only thing you can do is live in the moment God has given you, embrace it, experience it and savor it." Living in the moment is the theme of Chapman's 16th studio album, "This Moment," set for release Oct. 23. But fans in North Carolina can get a sneak preview of the record when Chapman performs Friday at the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh. Show time is 7:30 p.m. and Sanctus Real will open. "I've been watching them since they were little guys playing around with music and instru ments. I kept thinking, 'Wouldn't it be cool if they could play with me on stage some time? Would I still be rel evant and cool enough that they'd want to play with me?' "But they've gotten so good, gotten some extra gigs and made a lot of new friends," Chapman added. "There's only so many of 'those moments' left for me with them, and I'm excited that they're excited." That makes this particular tour a family affair, and Chapman said he hopes the show and music reaches out to all families. |
