Summary: | Editor's Note: Lebanon's Rich Parker, the head professional at Carter Golf Club and the coach of the Dartmouth men's golf team, is in Arizona this week for the final stage of qualifying for the Champions Tour, the PGA Tour's circuit for the 50-and-over crowd. The 72-hole tournament will be played at the TPC Scottsdale beginning today, with the top five golfers in the 78-player receiving full exemptions onto the Champs Tour in 2010. Parker is filing brief dispatches to the Valley News daily during the tournament. We are staying with one of my Dartmouth players' family and it is a nice change from the small hotel room. There are so many good players here, and it is funny to listen to all the chit-chat. |
